Good Deed: Lookouts turn purple for fundraising event

The Alzheimer's Association has once again partnered with the Chattanooga Lookouts for its annual "Paint the Park Purple" event. Each year, the Lookouts wear a commemorative jersey to promote Alzheimer's awareness and to raise funds. Jerseys are auctioned off during the game, and all proceeds are donated to the Alzheimer's Association. This year's top jersey was worn by outfielder Kyle Russell and went for $150.

The sell-out crowd, many of whom came out to see 2011 "American Idol" winner Scotty McCreery, was a sea of purple.

We want to thank the Chattanooga Lookouts and their fans for turning AT&T Field purple for just one night.
