Tennessee Smokies surge beats Chattanooga Lookouts

Tennessee scored three runs in the fifth inning on RBI singles by Logan Watkins, Greg Rohan and Michael Brenly to turn a 2-1 deficit into a 4-2 lead as the Smokies beat the Chattanooga Lookouts 5-3 on Sunay.

The Smokies squared the series at one game apiece. The Lookouts (11-7) took a 1-0 lead in the second inning on a leadoff home run to center by J.T. Wise, and they grabbed a 2-1 lead in the fourth when Kyle Russell led off with a triple to left and scored on a Jake Lemmerman ground out.

Game three of a three-game series at Tennessee is tonight at 7:15.

Ethan Martin (7-4, 2.99) is scheduled to start for the Lookouts, with Dallas Beeler (3-6, 4.31) scheduled for the Smokies.
