Chattanooga: Coroner testifies about injuries to man killed in savage beating

Hamilton County Coroner Dr. James Metcalfe testified today about the injuries an elderly Chattanooga man sustained in a savage beating that claimed his life in May.

Garner Lee Isbill, 76, died two months after police say he was beaten and dragged him down concrete steps at a 7300 Lee Highway hotel on March 18.

Jennifer Hatfield, 32, and John Eugene Moncier, 28, face criminal homicide charges in connection with the case.

The preliminary hearing will continue at a later date not yet set.
