Chattanooga Music Club installs officers, awards scholarships

The Chattanooga Music Club recently inducted new officers and honored its music scholarship winners during a tea at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

The club awards $12,500 annually in scholarships to talented local students through its competition.

Scholarship winners included Kelsey Stansell, pianist, Dorothy Martin Award; Holly Kinsey, bass clarinet, Bruce Benton Award; Emily Oing, violinist, Drs. Andres and Hilda Alisago Award.

Also, Monica Cook, vocalist, Opal Swaity Vocal Award; Joshua Coleman, pianist; Chattanooga Music Club Award; Alyssa Baranski, flute, Adm. and Mrs. Vance Fry Merit Award; Brian Mu, violinist; Fletcher Bright Strings Award; and Savannah Miller, vocalist, Patti Benton Stephenson Award.
