PEARL, Miss. - The Chattanooga Lookouts scored a run in the first inning and almost seven hours later added two in the ninth for a 3-0 win over the Mississippi Braves in a Southern League baseball game that ended after 2 EDT this morning.

Those last two runs came without benefit of a hit for Chattanooga, as Gorman Erickson and Travis Denker reached base on errors, Jake Lemmerman was hit by a pitch, Anthony Jackson walked after a passed ball that let Erickson score and Rafael Ynoa hit a one-out sacrifice fly.

Ynoa led off the game with a double and advanced on groundouts by Nick Buss and Blake Smith for the 1-0 lead. A delay of 4 hours, 23 minutes followed a 1-2-3 first at-bat for the Braves, when Allen Webster struck out two batters.

Javier Solano pitched the second through fourth innings for Chattanooga and got credit for the win, and Logan Bawcom got his 12th save.

Ynoa was 2-for-4 as the Lookouts outhit their hosts 6-3. They committed only one error while the Braves made four.

Game two of the four-game series is set for this evening at 6 EDT. Zach Lee (0-1, 5.14 ERA) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Lookouts; Gary Moran (2-7, 3.08) is listed for the Braves.
