Chattanooga police seek man in home robbery

Crime Stoppers is looking for Montez Birt, who police say broke into a home and robbed the owner at gunpoint.

According to the Chattanooga Police news release, the robber broke into the house with a gun and punched the owner, demanding money.

Birt is wanted on charges of aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, two counts of theft under $500, burglary of an auto and vandalism.

Birt, 27, is 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. His last known address is 1102 E. 32nd St. in Chattanooga.

Anyone with information leading to Birt's arrest could be eligible for a cash reward up to $1,000. Call 423-698-3333.
