TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — Police say multiple people were wounded when a gunman opened fire at a bar in Tuscaloosa, home to the University of Alabama.
A hospital spokesman said 17 people were being treated early Tuesday but was not sure if all of them were injured by gunfire. Two of them were admitted for critical care.
City police Sgt. Brent Blankley tells The Associated Press that "multiple people were shot" at the Copper Top bar around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Blankley said no arrests had been made. But surveillance video released by police showed a man described as a suspect. He is seen from the back as he walks down a sidewalk with what appears to be a gun in one hand.
Police declined to release more details until a news conference.
