Hamilton County Sheriff's Office looking for new leads in 2010 fatal hit-and-run

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Traffic Division is looking for new clues involving a pedestrian fatality that occurred on July 18, 2010, on Cummings Highway.

Terry Bailey, 48 was killed while crossing the 2500 block of the roadway at approximately 10:20 p.m. when she was hit by a car, according to the sheriff's office.

The vehicle, traveling westbound, did not stop after hitting Bailey, sheriff's spokeswoman Janice Atkinson said.

According to witnesses, a possible suspect vehicle was described as a Mercury and was driven by a heavy set white female with short brown hair.

Investigators have received new information and are actively pursuing new leads but are requesting any additional assistance the public can provide, Atkinson
