CHATTANOOGA, TN - Lauren Ellis, currently serving in the U.S. Navy and a 2006 Soddy-Daisy High School graduate, was grazed in the shoulder Friday, in the early morning Colorado theater shooting that left 12 people dead and 59 others injured.

A former teacher and classmate say, thankfully, she is expected to be ok.

"I taught her in school. A great kid. She went into the Navy right out of high school and I'm an old Navy guy, so we kept up through Facebook and email and such. She's a special kid, a really smart kid," says Trevor Fuller.
