Chamber meeting to hear Coke exec

Clyde C. Tuggle, a senior vice president for the Coca-Cola Co., will keynote the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce's 125th annual meeting Aug. 14.

Tuggle is the Atlanta-based company's chief public affairs and communications officer.

He joined the company in 1989. He has held a variety of executive management posts in the areas of external affairs, corporate communications and worldwide public affairs.


Kennesaw firm to hire 1,000

A Kennesaw, Ga., customer service company is looking for 1,000 employees.

Alorica plans to hire mainly for inbound customer service representatives. About 700 of the positions will be for seasonal employment. The company already employs about 1,200 people at the Kennesaw facility where the new hires will also work.

Jobs fairs are scheduled for 5 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on July 28. The facility is at 1000 Cobb Place Blvd.
