Alabama man arrested with hallucinogenic mushrooms

A 32-year-old Alabama man has been arrested and charged with having hallucinogenic mushrooms.

Johnathon Michael Moore, of Dutton, Ala., was arrested today and charged with possession of controlled substances and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a news release from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. He was taken to the Jackson County Jail and remains in custody on a $4,000 bond, the release said.

This morning, the sheriff’s Narcotics Unit and the Deputies searched Moore’s on County Road 47 and found about 1 ounce of psilocybin mushrooms and drug paraphernalia, the release said.
