David Testerman represents district 8, which includes East Ridge and parts of Brainerd.

Voters elected Testerman in 2110.

He retired in 2007, after serving as a teacher and principal for 30 years in Hamilton County Schools, including stints at Bachman Elementary School, East Ridge High School, Westview Elementary and White Oak Elementary schools.

Testerman received two bachelor’s degrees from Tennessee Temple University and a master’s degree from Tennessee Technological University.

In March 2012, he announced his bid for the District 10 seat in the Tennessee Senate.
