Gwen Tidwell has served as Criminal Court Clerk since voters first elected her in 1994. Tidwell holds a law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee. She graduated from Hixson High School. Tidwell practiced law for nine years and then became a county Juvenile Court Referee and served as Chattanooga City Court Clerk. Tidwell was elected in 1998, 2002, 2006 and 2010.
