NEW YORK -- Sweet buckets of big eyes and bigger accents, this joint is big. Big-time big.
We thought we were ready for the city that never sleeps (100 percent true for it is worth), and for the most part we were. W were t ready for the onslaught of taxi cabs, and that these cabs are driven by guys who drive the wheels off f them. And do it angrily.
But we're here and we are the inverse of Joe Pesci going South in "My Cousin Vinny."
We will be back more frequently today, Alton you guys were stout Thursday without our influence. As for yesterday's question, we agree with the general sentiment that Bray made a boneheaded decision and likely will not miss game time -- as long as what we know is the whole story, he'll spend several August practices "conditioning" -- but this does very little for our confidence in the overriding key to the football happiness of Johnny Vols Fans everywhere.
We were remiss on answering your questions before we left, so we are behind and will revert to the one Spy asked asked this week -- five most underrated cities -- and then four more quick questions:
1) Chattanooga -- the more we travel the more we realize how boss Chattanooga is.
2) Missoula, Mont. -- excellent town, great folks, UN-believable scenes.
3) Charleston/Folly Beach -- Charleston is in danger of being on so many underrated lists it could become overrated but we still have a soft spot for the locale
4) Omaha, Neb. -- this is a wild card for sure, and we know being there for the College World Series was a huge part of it, but it was still an excellent trip.

What do you thin will happen to Miami?
-- The Hurricanes will get hit hard, but all punishments will be measured from the Penn State nuclear bomb. Quick guess, Miami will get three years bowl ban, loss of significant scholarships and heavy fines. The fines will be the new heavy in the NCAA arsenal. The toll will be somewhere between USC and Penn State.

Now that the real media days (yes, the SoCon days) are here, how do you think UTC is viewed around the league?
We believe Russ Huesman and the gang have completely changed the culture and the appearance of the Mocs -- inside and out. We believe these Mocs could be very good and could be elite defensively. Like so many other college football teams, if the Mocs find answers at quarterback, they have the pieces to challenge Georgia Southern for the SoCon title.

Where does Adam Scott's meltdown rank?
We put it third. Jean Van de Velde is one and likely will be forever. We put Greg Norman at Augusta in '96 at 2. We putt Scott at No. 3 and he would probably get a spot on the top 10 across all sports with the likes of Norwood, Webber and Buckner et al.

First time writer, and to be truthful, would like to see more NFL stories. What NFL training camp story has the 5@10's attention?
Excellent question and welcome to the show and hopefully we will be more NFL-centric in the coming days. There is not one particular story that has our view as much as a few that have become overplayed already. Here is a quick top five:
1) Tebow-Sanchez
2) Peyton in Denver
3) Let's let RGIII take a snap before reserving him a spot in Canton; one ESPN talking head said he is the most exciting fresh face to hit Washington since JFK. Really?
4) Bounty-gate. The Saints messed up, they got caught and they got hit hard. Now shut up about it. If you do not like Roger Goodell's rules, drop out and become the Southern most franchise in the CFl.
5) The Dwight Howard trade talk. Yes, this is not an NFL story but that is how tiring the Dwight soap opera is.
Enjoy and discuss.

Dang, you left out my Krystal-Whattaburger comment towards Hart. Glad you're enjoying NYC (I wouldn't go there). Enjoyed your take on my question and Frierson's article this morning. I think number 4 is a good location given last year's record and this years potental. And more "paperwork" to be sent out soon.
I haven't even been to Omaha, but I do know there have to be better choices. I nominate Savannah, Wilmington, and Cooperstown.
Mr. Cook --
We believe the Mocs will surprise.
9er --
All excellent towns, but we were stunned by the CWS treatment in Omaha. Maybe the event is underrated and the town is propey rated.
Chas, having spent the bulk of my childhood and adult life in and Savannah, I can say with great certainty that charleston is much superior. The Mocs? Challenge us for the SoCon title? You really are funny, 5? (Funny how? Do I amuse you?)
This Olympics will feature 14 athletes (current and former) from UT (Knoxville), six competing for Team USA. The University of Gawga will have 26 of its best there, ten with USA on their unis or speedos, plus one coach and one administrator.
If they gave gold medals for heaving golf balls at cars...
Spy--The category was "underrated towns."
Yes. And Savannah is not underrated. It is quite overrated.
My underrated includes ...
Chicago. Great city. Great, great, great. It's hard to underrate the Second City, but I think it is.
Pittsburgh. You would be pleasantly surprised.
Milwaukee. Great people there, too.
Spokane, Washington. Beautiful area.
Montreal. Like going to Europe without having to deal with Europeans. Like Chicago, hard to underrate a city of this magnitude, but it has great restaurants, great shopping, magnificent architecture in Old Montreal and you're about 20 miles from the U.S. border, too.
Good list. If we're going north of the border, add Vancouver and Quebec City. In Montreal I once successfully ordered, ate, and paid for a meal entirely in my really poor French. But I still don't like berets.
Chas,
I concur on Vancouver. Unbelievable. I loved Quebec City too, but you really need to know French there. Montreal is great because the staff in hotels and restaurants speak English. But in Quebec City, not so much.
