A 38-year-old man in Bradley County faces charges of theft after being accused of stealing a trailer and tools valued at more than $14,000, authorities say.

Matthew Lee Gee is charged with burglary, theft over $10,000, theft under $500 and three counts of theft over $1,000, according to the Bradley County Sheriff's Office.

The investigation solved several theft cases dating back to January as well as recovering three other trailers and a four-wheeler, officials said.

Gee remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Bradley County Sessions Court on June 26.

Detectives received tips that took them to property in Meigs County owned by Gee. There, items were found that had been taken during thefts from Georgetown Circle, Mount Zion Road, Benton Pike, White Oak Valley Road and Waterville Drive.

Detectives still are looking for a 14-foot white tandem trailer taken from Georgetown Circle in late April or early May. Anyone with any information about the trailer is asked to call 423-728-7336.
