The next Yappy Meower fundraiser for McKamey Animal Center will take place 5-7 p.m. Monday at the shelter at 4500 N. Access Road.
This Butts for Mutts BBQ is a Southern-style cookout featuring smoked barbecue pork butts. Cost is a $20 donation. A door prize will be awarded.
Guests also may order butts to go. These 7-pound Boston butts are enough to make 15 to 20 sandwiches. Cost is $30 each, and they may be ordered in advance at www.mckameyanimalcenter.org.
