The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga quarterback put up impressive numbers throwing and running, which led to him sharing the league's Freshman of the Year award. While not the most chatty player on the roster, the former South Pittsburg star did provide some good answers to Times Free Press questions:
1. What's the most memorable moment of your athletic career?
"It would have to be the first time we won the state championship, my sophomore year. As a safety I picked up a fumble and ran it back for a touchdown. That was a pretty memorable moment because it was the first time we won state since '99 and I was a part of it."
2. What athlete do you admire most?
"That would have to be Kobe Bryant. He's just a student of the game and takes it very seriously."
3. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
"In 10 years I see me coaching. High school, college -- in 10 years I see me helping out some kind of athletic program."
4. If you could only have one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
"It would have to be chicken -- chicken and french fries. I couple probably eat that every day."
5. What part of playing college football has been the biggest surprise?
"Just being a student of the game and how much more you have to mature as a player."
6. If you had to be stranded on a desert island with two teammates, who would they be and why?
"That would be Chaz [Moore] and Keith [Mayes]. We've been stranded here on the island here in Chattanooga for the last couple of years, and that's who I've been with. We already rely on each other."
7. If you could be anyone for a day, who would you be?
"I'd be Barack Obama. Not the stressing-out part, but just the chance to be in the Oval Office as the head of the United States. Running the world."
