Dr. Chris Moore will assist with physician recruitment and serve as the liaison for the medical staff on issues of quality oversight and with the hospital's patient-centered committees, according to a news release from the Fort Oglethorpe facility.

"Dr. Moore has an outstanding reputation in the community," said Hutcheson President and CEO Roger Forgey. "His ability to bring leadership and oversight to our physician efforts will be an asset in expanding medical services and quality of care."

Moore, founder of Outdoor Chattanooga, received an undergraduate and medical degree from the University of Virginia. He had a private practice until the mid-1990s, when he joined Hutcheson Medical Center as an emergency room physician.
