For the second time this year, a teenager accidentally was caught in the crossfire and wounded near an outdoor party.
A 14-year-old boy was wounded in the arm Saturday evening while attending a gathering in the 2600 block of Market Street. He was treated at Erlanger hospital and released.
On March 17, Keoshia Ford, 13, was shot in the head near 2012 Bennett Ave. in a gang-related shooting. A juvenile also was arrested in her case. She still is being treated.
Police have not said whether the shooting Saturday was gang related.
One juvenile was taken into custody in the shooting and booked into the juvenile detention center, according to Chattanooga police. Police still are searching for another suspect. Kenneth L. Trammell, 19, faces charges of attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and unlawful use of a firearm.
Court records show Trammell was arrested in another reported shooting in August when three people told police he opened fire on them, according to an affidavit of complaint. All charges were dropped because of a lack of proof, according to records.
