Why she won

Despite battling through a leg injury during the early portion of the season, the junior forward finished with 32 goals and five assists. She helped the Lady Trojans to the Class AAA state semifinals, where they were beaten by eventual state champion Franklin, which was ranked No. 2 in the final fall ESPN poll.

"We made it to the semifinals this year, and we should be good again next year. We're losing a lot of important people, but we'll make it. "
