JACKSON, Tenn. -- Nick Buss singled, doubled and tripled and scored three runs as the Chattanooga Lookouts downed the Jackson Generals 4-2 in Southern League baseball Saturday night.
Chattanooga improved to 32-35 with its second consecutive win over Jackson.
Buss led off the game with a triple to right field and scored on Blake Smith's sacrifice fly to left. Buss led off the sixth with a double to right and scored on Brahiam Maldonado's two-out single past third to make it 2-0. In the eighth inning, Buss singled to left and scored along with Jake Lemmerman on Kyle Russell's two-out single to left that made it 4-1.
The Lookouts will play their final game of the first half today in Jackson, with first pitch at 3:05 EDT. Chris Reed (0-0, 0.00 ERA) is scheduled to start on the mound for the Lookouts, with Brandon Mauer (5-1, 3.42) scheduled for the Generals.
