The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department has announced Norfolk Southern Railroad on Wednesday plans to begin maintenance on its railroad crossing located on Hamill Road.
The department said Norfolk Southern will also work on other crossings as it progresses to the northern end of Hamilton County.
Deputies from the sheriff’s department will be onsite “to deal with any traffic-related issues,” Public Information Officer Janice Atkinson said.
Atkinson said area residents should look out for signs on road closings between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. as the maintenance work is carried out over the next several weeks.
