WASHINGTON — You can take U.S. Sen. Bob Corker's name off the list of potential vice presidential candidates.
The Chattanooga Republican's office said today that Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney's campaign is not vetting him for the No. 2 slot on the GOP ticket this fall.
Corker, who is running for a second term in the U.S. Senate, had been the subject of early speculation that he could potentially be a running mate for Romney. But the speculation waned in recent weeks as the Romney campaign began to search in earnest for a running mate.
