Cleveland police looking for a man wanted on sexual assault allegations

Cleveland police are searching for a man they believe sexually assaulted a woman after she agreed to give him a ride.

A woman told police she was sitting in her driveway on Henderson Avenue at 3:30 a.m. on June 9 when a man walked up and asked for a ride, said police spokeswoman Officer Evie West. The man said he had run out of gas and needed a ride.

The woman agreed and drove the man to the Greenway Trailhead. Once there, the victim was physically and sexually assaulted, West said. The man then got out of the car and was seen walking in the direction of Oakland Drive.

Anyone with information regarding this incident or suspect is asked to contact Detective Ratcliff at the Cleveland Police Department 423-559-3319.
