A suspect has been arrested in the May theft of copper from Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Fackler, Ala., according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

Steven Brandon Holt, 20, is charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree theft of property and third-degree criminal mischief, Chief Deputy Rocky Harnen said in a news release.

He said someone broke into the church on County Road 45 on May 27, stealing copper wire and damaging the building.

Holt was arrested Wednesday and is lodged in the Jackson County Jail on a $3,5000 bond, Harnen said.
