Cleveland brothers drown in Alaska boating accident

LAKE LOUISE, AK -- A pair of brothers from Cleveland on vacation in Alaska perished in a boating accident near Lake Louise Friday afternoon.

According to the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman, brothers Steven Kirkpatrick, 59, and Jeffrey Kirkpatrick, 56, fell out of their rented 14-foot boat.

Tim DeSpain with the Alaska State Patrol said the investigation determined that the four men in the group were trying to restart the boat when one of the brothers fell in the water.
