Good Deed: Car-repair team comes to the rescue

Friday, January 1, 1904

While driving to work, I noticed a 1-pound kitten that had been hit by a car. I turned around to get her out of oncoming traffic. The scared kitten hopped under my vehicle. Many people stopped to help but the harder we tried, the more she crammed herself in, with no way out.

Almost hopeless, I coasted into Meineke Car Care Center in East Ridge. When I got there and explained the situation, the Meineke team started patiently working to get the kitten out.

Hours went by before the Meineke team was able to reach the kitten. They put my car back together and didn't charge a penny for their services.

The kitten spent a week at the vet and had her front leg amputated but is now with a family willing to give her the love she always dreamed of. Thank you, Meineke. The world is a better place with people like you in it.
