Just over 60 percent of Chattanooga-area residents responding to a Scarborough Research study last year indicated that they got health insurance through a group plan. The biggest insurers with group plans in the Chattanooga market:

1 BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, 229,452 area subscribers

2 Cigna, 81,331 area subscribers

3 United Healthcare, 51,647 area subscribers

4 Aetna, 16,421 area subscribers

5 State Farm, 4,745 area subscribers

Those who identified other group health plans totaled 79,138, and another 291,421 had no group insurance plan identified.
