A 3-year-old boy has died and a 5-year-old boy is being treated after an incident that Bradley County officials say could be heat-related.
Officials say they have received conflicting reports about what happened to the brothers, who were picked up by emergency workers shortly before 3 p.m. at a home on Armstrong Road. Earlier, they said the incident was a near-drowning, but they're backing away from that now.
“We’re getting mixed reports where this took place or what the circumstances were,” said Bradley County EMS spokesman Stan Clark.
The 3-year-old died at SkyRidge Medical Center in Cleveland, Clark said, while the 5-year-old was flown to the Children’s Hospital at Erlanger, where he regained a pulse.
The children were at a home on Keith Road when the incident occurred, but they were picked up from 851 Armstrong Road, he said
