A 3-year-old boy has died and a 5-year-old boy is being treated after an incident that Bradley County officials say could be heat-related.

Officials say they have received conflicting reports about what happened to the brothers, who were picked up by emergency workers shortly before 3 p.m. at a home on Armstrong Road. Earlier, they said the incident was a near-drowning, but they're backing away from that now.
