PEARL, Miss. -- Ethan Martin gave Chattanooga its third consecutive stellar performance by a starting pitcher in Mississippi, as Martin allowed just four hits while striking out four in seven scoreless innings in the Lookouts' 1-0 Southern League baseball victory Thursday night.

Allen Webster allowed one run in seven innings Tuesday night, and Zach Lee's successful Double-A debut Wednesday was reflected by one run in six innings.

Blake Smith gave Martin all the offense he needed Thursday by leading off the fourth inning with a triple to center field and scoring on a J.T. Wise groundout.

Game four of the five-game series is tonight at 8 EDT. Matt Magill (5-4, 5.03 ERA) is scheduled to start on the mound for the Lookouts, with David Hale (6-3, 3.81) scheduled for the Braves.

Lookouts starting pitcher Chris Withrow was activated after being out most of this month with lower-back issues. Withrow took the roster spot of infielder Travis Denker, who was placed on the disabled list.
