Brahiam Maldonado's one-out home run to left in the top of the ninth inning Friday catapulted Chattanooga to a 1-0 win over the Mississippi Braves for its fifth consecutive victory and a 6-3 start to the Southern League's second half.

Matt Magill worked five innings for the Lookouts, whose starting pitchers have allowed just two runs through four games this series.

Chris Withrow returned from the disabled list to work hitless sixth and seventh innings before turning it over to Red Patterson, who worked a hitless eighth and got the victory to improve to 4-1. Steven Ames worked a hitless ninth to pick up his seventh save.

Game five of a five-game series in Mississippi is tonight at 7 Eastern.

Aaron Miller (4-4, 4.21) is scheduled to start for the Lookouts, with Seth Gilmartin (5-3, 3.48) scheduled for the Braves.
