Briarcrest beats Baylor in state semis

NASHVILLE — Baylor’s 2011-12 basketball season came to a close with a 68-50 loss to Briarcrest Christian in the TSSAA Division II-AA state semifinals Friday at Lipscomb University.

Leo Born and Reggie Upshaw each scored 16 points for the Red Raiders (15-11). The Saints’ Austin Nichols led all scorers with 30 points.
