Disaster relief efforts for neighborhoods in Harrison and Ooltewah hit by tornadoes on Friday are being concentrated at Camp Joy at 6620 Hunter Road and at Greenwood Baptist Church on Snowhill Road, according to a Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office statement.
Volunteers, donations and other aid should be brought to Camp Joy, where the Salvation Army and Red Cross are set up, or a Greenwood Baptist, 8529 Snowhill Road. Both locations will offer meals to workers and residents in the affected area.
Spokeswoman Janice Atkinson said in the statement that the command center at Ooltewah High School will be closed and moved to the Highway 58 Fire Training Center at 9100 Snowhill Road.
