Cleveland, Tenn. - Top Whirlpool officials along with employees marked the completion of the company's new $200 million factory here today.

"It's a significant milestone in the company's history," said Jeff Fettig, chief executive of Whirlpool Corp.

Officials call the 1.1 million square foot plant the largest premium cooking factory in the world.

It will replace Whirlpool's existing cooking appliance manufacturing plant in Cleveland when it's fully up and running in about a year.
