OXFORD, Miss. -- The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga softball team wrapped up play at the Red and Blue Classic with a 6-0 loss to Troy on Sunday. The Lady Mocs finished second in the tournament hosted by Ole Miss.
UTC (10-8) managed only four hits and committed three first-inning errors to allow the Trojans to jump to a quick 2-0 lead.
Senior pitcher Michelle Fuzzard took the loss, allowing four earned runs on six hits in four innings. Freshman Taylor Deason pitched two scoreless innings while giving up three hits and striking out one.
UTC stranded six baserunners and left two runners on base in each of the second and sixth innings.
