A pair of bald eagles apparently has found a home on the Berry College campus in Rome.
The Rome News-Tribune reports the site is the first known bald eagle nest in Floyd County in recent years.
Georgia Department of Natural Resources personnel confirmed the nest location recently when a biologist spotted a bird carrying sticks to the nest site.
Renee Carleton, an assistant professor of biology at Berry, said the college might establish an area for people who wish to observe the birds.
