Marion County voters picked appointed seatholder John Graham as the Democratic candidate for county mayor in the August general election versus Republican candidate Gary Ellis.

They also gave the thumbs down to a wheel tax on motorized vehicles in the county, according to election officials.

Graham received 1,577 votes to Reeves' 1,163, while voters nixed the wheel tax, 3,353 to 1,152.
