CLEVELAND, Tenn. — Bradley County election officials said voter turnout for Super Tuesday was steady late this morning but lines were not long.

By noon only one provisional ballot had been cast in voting here, according to the Bradley County Election Commission.

Provisional ballots are cast by voters who have no photo identification. The ballot is held until the identity is confirmed, according to Election Director Fran Green.

At the Oak Grove precinct, the line of voters was staying at about two or three people.

Oak Grove and Michigan Avenue are in the Fourth District and have the only locally contested race, for a vacancy on the Bradley County Commission.

Most voters seemed to be interested in the presidential preference primary, Oak Grove election official Lamar Ervin said.

“But we have had some people ask specifically about the commission race,” he said. “We can only show them the sample ballot.”
