2 treated after Chattanooga shooting

Two people have been hospitalized for gunshot wounds they suffered at an apartment in East Chattanooga, police said.

Darick Isom, 33, and Lymorris Martin, 54, were shot at an apartment at 2114 Windsor St. shortly after 11 p.m. Tuesday, Chattanooga police spokesman Officer Nathan Hartwig said.

Both were taken to Erlanger hospital, where they have been treated for injuries that Hartwig said were not life-threatening.

Investigators with the department's major crimes division are pursuing leads, Hartwig said. This is the 18th shooting incident resulting with injury in 2012, according to newspaper records.

Anyone with information about the case may call the Chattanooga Police Department at 423-698-2525 or Crime Stoppers at 423-698-3333.
