A driver was killed Wednesday in Cleveland when his vehicle collided with a dump truck, authorities said.

The driver's name had not been released as of late Wednesday afternoon, Officer Evie West of the Cleveland Police Department said in a news release.

She said the dump truck's driver was taken to Skyridge Medical Center for treatment.

West said the vehicles crashed at 2765 Michigan Ave. about 4 p.m., and the road was closed between 20th Street and Benton Pike while officers investigated.
