Follow Jack White concert online

Jack White's performance at Track 29 tonight is one of the hottest tickets in town. While we can't get you inside to see the show, you can keep up with the action live online beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Entertainment writer Casey Phillips will be providing live updates at timesfreepress.com before and during tonight's concert.

White, who was the musical guest on "Saturday Night Live" last Saturday, is reportedly bringing a 14-member band with him along with 11 crew and three tour buses full of equipment and people.

White burst onto the music scene with The White Stripes. He then created The Raconteurs and later The Dead Weather. Rolling Stone magazine ranks him 17th on its list of "The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time."

In addition to performing, White has become known as a renowned producer and is credited with breathing new life into the careers of legendary artists Loretta Lynn and Wanda Jackson.

There is still a chance to get tickets. Justin Hall, an art director at WTVC-TV 9, created an event on Facebook called "What would you do for Jack White tickets?" Post your idea, and the person whose idea gets the most likes must then produce a video of the idea. The winner will get two tickets to the show. Visit the page to get more details.
