Toddler drowns in Bradley County pool

The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office is continuing investigation into a swimming pool drowning Tuesday of a 22-month-old boy on Monza Lane in the northern part of the county.

The toddler was discovered about 3 p.m. in the shallow end of a neighbor’s pool where the water is about 3 feet deep, according to spokesman Bob Gault. He was rushed to Skyridge Medical Center and later died.

Detectives report the boy was in the care of grandparent and managed to slip out of the grandparents home unnoticed.

The victim’s name is being withheld until relatives are notified.
