Oil prices rose above $108 per barrel on Monday as optimism continued to grow about a strengthening global economy. Benchmark U.S. crude added $1.03 to end the day at $108.09 per barrel, up nearly $3 per barrel in the last two trading days. Over the weekend, the average price of a gallon of regular gasoline rose in Chattanooga above $3.60 per gallon.
