An Ider police officer has been charged with domestic violence, authorities say.
Charles Keith Murphree was arrested Monday on charges of third-degree domestic violence, DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris said in a news release.
Murphree, 42, of Henagar, is in the DeKalb County Jail awaiting a bond hearing, Harris said. The arrest stems from an incident in January, the sheriff said, and an investigation is ongoing.
