CLEVELAND, Tenn. - Amazon representatives brought a gift today to students at Bachman Academy: 50 new Kindle touch-screen electronic readers.

Students celebrated with snacks before a short lesson on how to operate the devices.

The representatives also brought a bonus gift of $1,500 that the school, for sixth through 12th-graders with learning difficulties, can spend on content for the Kindles, Amazon spokesman Ty Rogers said.
