UTC’s Phil Oldham expected to be next president of TTU

Tennessee Board of Regent Chancellor John Morgan has recommended UTC Provost Phil Oldham to lead Tennessee Technological University.

The board will meet via telephone Friday to consider Morgan’s recommendation.

Oldham would be replacing Bob Bell, who retires on July 1 after 12 years.

“Dr. Oldham will lead TTU with a commitment to academic integrity, student success and public accountability,” Morgan said in a news release. “He has outstanding credentials and is well respected among his colleagues and peers nationwide, and I am pleased to recommend him as the next president for Tennessee Tech University.”
