The Tennessee Army National Guard will hold a three-day workshop and job fair for military members and their spouses here from May 16 to 18.

The event begins with workshop training on resume writing, interview skills, and job seeking strategies. The final day is a job fair with area employers taking applications, according to a Guard release.

"Employers like to hire veterans because they bring a work ethic that most others don1t possess," said John Alexander, veterans employment

representative with the Tennessee Department of Labor. "They show up on time, they understand what's expected of them and they don't wait around to be told every single thing."

The event will be held at the U.S. Army Reserve Center at 6503 Bonny Oaks Drive. Contact Joe Thomas at joseph.c.thomas2@us.army.mil or (615) 313-0752 for more information.
