The Hunter Museum of American Art and Tennessee Wild will offer the first in a series of joint adventures Saturday as part of the Hunter's ongoing Sublime in Art series. "An Artfully Wild Urban Experience" is a guided walk meant to appeal to both art enthusiasts and nature lovers.

The outing will start at 9 a.m. with an easy 5.5-mile walk along the Tennessee Riverpark with conversations about art and the environment. The walk will be led by naturalists from Tennessee Wild, which is dedicated to protecting the wilderness of the Cherokee National Forest, and The Wilderness Society, a conservation organization charged with protecting public lands.

The walk will end at Hunter Museum, where participants will have a guided gallery discussion about a few of the works of art that reflect the way artists have portrayed the environment.

There is no cost for the guided walk. Admission to Hunter Museum is $9.95. The program will conclude around 12:30 p.m. An optional lunch will follow at 212 Market Restaurant, 212 Market St.
