Chattanooga Lookouts outfielder Kyle Russell was promoted today to Triple-A Albuquerque.

The 25-year-old Texan has a .255 batting average through 27 games with the Lookouts, compiling eight doubles, two home runs and nine RBIs. Russell is rated by Baseball America as the top power-hitter prospect in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization but has struggled since hitting .306 in April.

Replacing Russell on the roster is outfielder Brahiam Maldonado. The minor-league free agent played in 10 Double-A games earlier this season with the Mississippi Braves but hit just .094.
